Oh I found it challenging all along. It's hard to explain, coming from commercial life and just normal life to be put into a group of 40, all physically fit, all of a background of some level in life, there were university graduates, actuaries, a shearer and a second mate on coastal steamers.
Competitive. It was wonderful. It was good to compete, physically and or. I think that was one of the most formative periods of my life.
