Major General Morshead farewells members of the Polish Brigade in October 1941. In a letter to General Stanislaw Kopanski of the Polish Brigade, Morshead expressed great admiration for the Polish troops: 'I see in them the manifestations of an undaunted spirit which the enemy will never quench'.
