The map above shows the general topography of the area inland from Anzac Cove and North Beach measuring approximately 8km north to south and 6km west to east. Kabatepe is the most southern and western point of the map, and Hill 60 is the most northern point. The peaks in the Sari Bair Range that are between 200-300 metres high are shown in the centre of the map from south to north, Battleship Hill, Chunuk Bair, Rhododendron Ridge and Hill 971. The ridge, marked from Lone Pine in the south, then Steele’s Post, Courtney’s Post, Quinn’s Post, The Nek and Baby 700 in the north. Further west towards the coast are Shell Green in the south, Plugge’s Plateau, The Sphinx and Walker’s Ridge to the north. Up the coast from North Beach are Fisherman’s Hut, Embarkation Pier and Ocean Beach. Immediately inland from Fisherman’s Hut and Embarkation Pier are No. 1 Outpost and No. 2 Outpost. Approximately a kilometre inland from Ocean Beach is Beauchop’s Hill.
