Symbols of commemoration

You'll find many meaningful symbols of commemoration at services held on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day, and during military ceremonies and funerals. These symbols hold special meaning to Australians. Seeing them evokes many different emotions. This helps us to recognise our military service history and remember those who have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
