Sergeant GJ ‘Snowy’ Howell’s uniform displays his Victoria Cross and Military Medal and three wound stripes. He was awarded the VC for his attack with bombs and bayonet against a German counter-attack at Bullecourt on 6 May 1917. AWM P02939.019
