In 1992 Ellen Jose (b.1951) held an exhibition in Melbourne titled "Black Diggers-Ghost Fighters" to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the beginning of the Kokoda campaign in New Guinea, as well as remembering the war experiences of her father who fought in New Guinea and the Pacific.
