Italian light tanks captured at Bardia now being manned by men of the 6th Australian Cavalry Regiment during operations around Tobruk, January 1941. Prominently displayed on the side of each tank is a kangaroo, the unmistakable sign that the tanks are now in the hands of new owners. For the Australians, captured Italian equipment proved useful in the early part of the desert campaign.
