Roy Holland. The Holland brothers, Eric and Roy, of Nowra, New South Wales. Both were members of the 2/3rd Battalion, having enlisted together in November 1939. The Hollands fought alongside each other at Bardia, but at Tobruk, tragedy struck when Eric was wounded by an exploding land mine and Roy was killed attempting to rescue him. Eric survived his injuries, but was discharged from the army in May 1942. (AWM P07694.001 & P07694.002)
