Standing in civilian clothes (second from left) in this photo is Maxwell Beseler, along with members of his family in Caulfield, Victoria. On 1 May 1941, Beseler, then a private in the 2/24th Battalion, was killed in action at Tobruk. (AWM P08345.004)
