Men of the 2/16th Battalion fuse bombs during a lull in the fighting at Damour. Roy Harle of the 2/4th Battalion recalled the battle at Damour as 'huge'. His unit was involved in a barrage which lasted from midnight until 6am, which he remembers as the longest continual firing his battalion carried out in the campaign.
