On 2 March 1943 members of the 9th Division march through the centre of Sydney as torn papers and streamers rained down upon them from city offices. Seen here at the corner of Park and George Streets, the soldiers pass an enthusiastic crowd of spectators who had braved inclement weather to watch these veterans of the Middle East go by.
