General Sir Thomas Blamey, Commander in Chief of the Australian Army, talks to Lance Corporal Eddie Baker of the 2/7th Battalion on 20 March 1945. Baker, who had been wounded in the shoulder, was the only casualty of a patrol that had ambushed about thirty Japanese near Balif, killing eight and wounding three. General Blamey visited patients at the 2/11th Australian General Hospital during a tour of the Headquarters, 6th Division area. AWM 090112
