Exhausted stretcher-bearers of the 2/2nd Battalion bring in a wounded man from the front near Dagua on 27 March 1945. This was a hard day for the battalion, in which they lost three killed and fourteen wounded. In a report on the battalion's medical activities in March, the Regimental Medical Officer, Captain McLennan, described the stretcher bearers as 'excellent' in their work and knowledge, as well as 'courageous and quick to go forward'.
