Flight Sergeant Robert Dunstan from Frankston in Victoria leaning against the rear turret of 'D2 for Donald', a Lancaster bomber with 460 Squadron RAAF, based at RAF Binbrook, Lincolnshire. Dunstan made 22 trips over enemy territory as rear gunner, in this turret. He was also the only one-legged air gunner in the RAAF. Dunstan lost his leg while serving with the AIF in the Middle East. He was invalided out of the Army in February 1942 and enlisted in the RAAF in June 1942. AWM UK0489
