Chinese Anzacs

This commemorative publication focuses on when the First World War began in 1914. Many men and women from around Australia joined the war effort. They came from a range of cultural backgrounds. More than 200 of these identified as Chinese-Australians. This publication explores some of these soldiers stories, all who had different wartime experience.
A short film supports the material in this teaching resource. Interviews with some descendants of veterans mentioned in the book provide family perspectives on racial discrimination and military service. Running time 16 minutes 15 seconds.
