Vietnam war stories

As part of the Australian Government’s commitment to the development of the Education Center at the Wall (also known as the Vietnam Veterans’ Education Centre), a Vietnam War interpretive centre to be built by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund on the National Mall in Washington, DC, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs commissioned a collection of filmed interviews telling the Australian experience of the Vietnam War.

Each film tells both a unique individual story, as well as that of a wider important theme of Australia’s service in Vietnam and the long term effects of the war on Australian society. Each theme was developed with the guidance of an expert advisory panel comprising members of the Vietnam Veteran community to ensure they best reflect the overall Australian experience, and together they form an important record of Australian service in the Vietnam War.
