About the series

The Vietnam workbooks use primary source material to help students develop a deeper understanding of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War. The workbooks are numbered to take students on a guided study of the Vietnam War. Depending on the level of prior knowledge, students may choose to work through the books sequentially or choose the topics relevant to their study.

Teaching sensitivities

Teachers should note that some of the situations recounted in the workbooks are from different times and may use terminology or describe experiences and perspectives that are confronting or considered inappropriate today. This includes the treatment of First Nations people, and descriptions of wars and conflicts. Teachers are advised to be sensitive to the perspectives and emotions of students while using this resource.

Australian Curriculum

The activities in the Vietnam Workbook series align with the Australian Curriculum 9.0 version for Year 10 and version 8.4 for Senior Secondary.
